Privacy policy.

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

The short version: if you join the newsletter we keep your email address, and your first name if you chose to give one. Nothing else. We do not track you, we do not sell anything to anyone, and you can leave at any time in one click.

Who we are

Nu Vibration Tech Hub is a technology and AI company registered in Lagos, Nigeria, company registration number 8902516. For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 we are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.

We are registered with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission under registration ID NDPC/DCP/13815.

What we collect

Only what the newsletter form asks for:

  • Your email address. Required, because it is where the newsletter goes.
  • Your first name. Optional. It is used to address you personally, and if you do not give one we simply write "Hey,". We never guess a name from your email address.
  • The date you subscribed and which page you subscribed from, so we have a record that permission was given.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your phone number, your address, your date of birth, your job, or anything else. There is no account to create and no profile to fill in.

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is nothing to accept or decline, which is why you are not being shown a banner.

We do not buy data about you, we do not enrich what you give us with data from elsewhere, and we do not build a profile of you.

Why we collect it, and on what basis

To send you the Nu Vibration newsletter. That is the only purpose.

Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. Under the NDPA, and under the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything that happened before you did.

We will not use your address for anything you did not agree to. If we ever want to, we will ask you first.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of service providers to run the newsletter. They process your data on our instructions only, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

  • SupabaseStores the subscriber list. Servers outside Nigeria.
  • ResendDelivers newsletter email. Servers outside Nigeria.

Where it is stored

The providers above operate servers outside Nigeria, so your data is transferred internationally. We rely on their contractual data protection commitments for that transfer, as permitted under the NDPA.

If that arrangement changes, this page changes with it.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are subscribed.

When you unsubscribe we do not delete the record outright — we mark it as unsubscribed and keep the address on a suppression list. That is deliberate: it is the only reliable way to guarantee we never email you again by accident, for example if an older backup were ever restored. The record is not used for anything else.

If you would rather it were erased completely, ask us and we will do it.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and the GDPR where it applies to you, you can:

  • Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Have anything inaccurate corrected.
  • Have your data erased.
  • Object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict that use.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Receive your data in a portable form.

To leave the newsletter, use the unsubscribe page or the link at the bottom of any email we send. It takes one click and we do not ask why.

For anything else — a copy of your data, a correction, or full erasure — email active@nuvibrationtechhub.com. We will respond within 30 days.

How it is protected

The subscriber list is not publicly readable. Access is restricted to server-side credentials that are never exposed in the browser, and the site is served over HTTPS.

No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your data, we will notify the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and, where the law requires it, you.

Children

The newsletter is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has subscribed, tell us and we will remove the record.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — we would like the chance to put it right.

You also have the right to complain directly to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, and if you are in the EU or UK, to your local supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are subscribed, we will tell you by email rather than expecting you to notice.
